PLAYMOBLOG

A palmeira | The palm tree

IMG_7026

This palm tree have seen these two babies grow up. As babies, they slept the best naps by it's shadow and ate some hand fulls of sand. Under it's leaves, they stood up for the first time, gave their first steps leanning on each other and their first words mixed up with the noise of the leaves moving with the desert breeze.

First teenager talks and dreams were shared, while sitting agains it's trunk. Right there they criyed, laughed and get angry at each other again and again. Soon they were friends again. Inseperable since little kids, adult best friends.

Under this palm tree they feel at home, safe, and while they are here, no one upst them. Theis children, husbands, mothers and fathers, all know that the palm tree is their refuge, and that time his their, and their only.

Vida de vampiro | Vampire's life

IMG_6668

It's no easy, a vampire's life. Nowadays, the girls are so skinny, that there is no joy in bite their necks. I can't even remember the last time i had a fat juicy neck in my mouth!

And now this.... Some young men think that the castle is abandoned and have fun destroying it. Things are broken, the walls are covered with ugly paintings and they even biuld some stalls in the property.

But all this is about to end. In the next few days, i'll be having my romenian cousins vacationing, so, it will be my time to have fun. They will squeak in terror while we play with them, those bastards troublemakers. They will get out of here terrified, without knowing if what happened was real or not. And they will not came near so soon.

Amor estranho | Strange love

IMG_7029

Rafiki is a caravan male dromedary. He's strong and have some sweet eyes, with big big lashes. His life is all about carriyng all kinds of goods, across the desert. He knows almost all the oasis there is to know and he is obviously the lider of the caravan.

Saad is a female dromedary at the service of one of the oasis families. She is lucky, becouse she is very well taken care of. She carries water and groceries from the market, and plays along with the children, when there is time for it. She is still young, but already fell in love with Rafiki, wich she sees ocassionaly, when he stops by at her oasis.

When he´s around, Saad always finds a way to be near Rafiki and already got to spend several evenings with him, resting under the palm trees. One day, someone forgot her, and they actually spend the night together, counting stars, as Rafiki kept telling her about his adventures. That was an amazing night.

O castelo | The castle

IMG_6675

Entrem, minhas queridas, entrem!

Come, come sweet ladies, come in! My castle and my garden are at your disposal. May i suggest beggining your tour with the garden? This is the best time of the day to do it. The light is magnificent now and i'm sure you will love it, and will be delighted with the maze. After that, i can manage a castle tour, and, if you wish so, we will end the visit with some tea and cookies.

Legends? Yes, of course. My castle has a lot of legends. I'm sure you already listened a few in the village, but those aren't even the real ones. I can tell you some of the real ones, later, if you still have patience. I have a cople of things to do now, so i will leave you by yourselves in the garden.

Just a few recommendations: stay together all time, don't drink water from the fountains and don't mind funny noises. From these gates on, there will be no mobile net, so if you get lost you must call for Wolf. It's my most loyal dog and keeper of the garden, and it will know how to point you in the right track. Once you have finished visiting the garden, please knock three times at the front door of the castle.

...

...

Good morning Officer, how can i help? You look for four young ladies? Yes. Indeed a few ladies came by yesterday. They wanted to visit the castle, and i rushed them away. My family house is no funpark! I'm pretty shure that they would leave some awfull paintings on the walls, or even burn my beatifull garden with those funny cigars they were having! No way i colud let them in. No botter at all, Mr. Officer, i'm at your disposal.

Caixa azul #4: 9085 Beach | Blue box #4: 9085 Beach

20180721_095909

Este set foi um complemento a este.

Preço/Conteúdo

A caixa custou 4,99€, o que me pareceu adequado.

Originalidade

Gostei do lenço da cabeça da menina. Uma alternativa gira aos chapéus tradicionais. Um toque de modernidade.

Adequação do conteúdo

Nada a apontar.

Expectativa/Realidade

O conteúdo satisfez a expectativa.

This set, was a complement to this one here.

Price/Content

The price (4,99) seemed right.

Novelty

I find the girls hat very cute. A fresh modern hat instead the traditional ones.

Content adequacy

My daughter plays a lot with the shells. On the other hand, for me they are unnnecessary. The're easy to loose and i don't find them functional as the clicks don't grab them. Altought they are perfect replicas!

Component quality

Nothing to point out. My daughter plays keeps playing with the sun hat and it isn't broken yet.

Expectation/Reality

The content complied with the expectation.

Praia | Beach

IMG_6591

They arrived early to the beach. The sand is flat and smooth, with only a few seagull footprint that went by at crack of dawn. It looks like a blank book page ready to be written. Just a few people have arrived, so you can hear the sea singing to the sand, while softly kissing it. One or two seagulls yell stressed out with human presence.

The kids stare at the scenay for a moment, just before start running wild towards the sea. In their heads a thousand plans are being made to do great things along the day. The last seagull left. It will return later on to check how the fisherman did, and get a free easy meal.

The beach is getting crowded, and none can ear now the sea love song no more. It can only be heard again when the last sun hat is closed, the cover of the garbage bin slam for the last time and when the seagulls return to their beach.

Patins em linha | Inline skates

IMG_6538

Grandmother wanted her to be a ballerina, but seemed like ballet shoes where unable to fit the girls feet, tights itch her legs and she found very difficult to like the music. She had some skills: gracefulness and elasticity. She wasn´t the best of the class, but she was not the baddest either. She laked passion, that was undeniable. It was grandmother herself that switched ballet shoes for inline skates and dance leotard for a helmet.

All of a sudden, all things missing in ballet, came up easily: the paisson, the commitment, the effort. The girl practices over and over again until her body hurt. And the sparkles in her grandchild eyes after beeing abble to performe a new skill, gave granny the certainty that the right choice was made.
