Depois de ter escolhido as 5 melhores histórias do playmobook I, claro que tinha que fazer o mesmo para o segundo playmobook! Aqui estão elas!

Há mais uma batalha a vencer e mais uma cidade a conquistar aos infiéis. A luz de Cristo irá guiar os corações dos cavaleiros mais uma vez e revesti-los-á da coragem necessária para superar mais esta provação. O amor a Cristo dar-lhes-à a compaixão necessária para evitar a brutalidade para com os homens, manter o respeito para com as mulheres e as crianças e afastar a soberba de querer ficar com aquilo que não lhes pertence.
Todos estão a contar que amanhã, aos primeiros raios da aurora, se celebre a primeira missa, após a conquista da cidade. Os cavaleiros confessarão os seus pecados, comungarão e serão indultados dos seus pecados.
Com sorte, amanhã a cidade acordará inundada de estantardes da Cruz de Cristo. Assim seja!
There is one more battle to win and one more city to conquer from the infidels. The light of Christ will guide the hearts of the knights once more and clothe them in the courage necessary to overcome this trial. Contei aqui como surgiu a compilação de todas as histórias do blogue. Entretanto já surgiu um segundo playmobook e, creio que no final do ano já haverá histórias para um terceiro.
Um destes dias, estava a revisitar as histórias do primeiro playmobook e lembrei-me de escolher as cinco que mais gosto. Ei-las!
I told here how the compilation of all the blog's stories came about. However, a second playmobook has already been published, and I believe that by the end of the year there will be enough stories for a third.
The other day, I was revisiting the stories from the first playmobook and remembered to choose my five favorites. Here they are!
Sim, é verdade. O rei aceitou encontrar-se com aquele a quem jurou nunca dar a mão da sua filha primogénita! A sua filha merece mais, do que um reles mercenário, que se vende a quem lhe oferece mais dinheiro para executar os trabalhos mais sujos, ou simplesmente mais difíceis, que ninquém quer fazer.
Mas eis que o reino está em perigo. A diplomacia tem falhado tentativa após tentativa e a guerra está iminente. Não é de ânimo leve que um soberano arrasta o seu povo para a guerra, por isso, falhadas todas as tentativas mais civilizadas para resolver as questões com o reino vizinho, só resta ao rei uma via mais obscura, para travar a guerra!
Os dados estão lançados, o plano estabelecido e caso seja bem sucedido e evite uma guerra, o rei terá que voltar atrás com a sua palavra e ceder a mão da sua filha a este mercenário. Contudo, antes do casamento, terá que o armar cavaleiro da pátria, para que nos anais da história não fique escrito que a sua filha se casou com um salteador.

Estava um dia de Outono que mais parecia Verão. O azul do céu estava radiante e só foi pena a maré não estar mais cheia, para a água ter mais impacto na fotografia da história da loja do cais!

O Rafael nem queria acreditar, quando o jogo acabou e em vez de sairem do campo, como habitualmente, o pai o encaminhou para a saída dos atletas. Iam esperar para ver a saída dos jogadores, depois do jogo, coisa que há muito tempo ele pedia ao pai para fazerem, sem grande sucesso. O Rafael estava radiante.
E o seu espanto foi ainda maior, quando o nº 52, o famoso Mark Mark, recordista dos touchdowns da temporada, se dirigiu a ele, e lhe ofereceu a bola do jogo e lhe deu os parabéns pelo seu aniversário.
O dia foi inesquecível!!
Rafael couldn't believe it when the game ended and, instead of leaving the field as usual, his father led him to the players' exit. They were going to wait to see the players leave after the game, something he had been asking his father to do for a long time, without much success. Rafael was overjoyed.
And his surprise was even greater when number 52, the famous Mark Mark, the season's touchdown record holder, approached him, offered him the game ball, and wished him a happy birthday.
The day was unforgettable!!

A Joana cresceu por aqui, entre caixas de peixe, isco enrolado em jornal, canas de pesca, carretos e redes. Sempre que estava na loja do cais, usava um colete amarelo, para que a mãe a visse bem ao longe, enquanto atendia os clientes, recebia as encomendas e arrumava e organizava a loja. Aliás, todos os que frequentavam o cais com regularidade, reconheciam à distância, aquele colete, que saltivava por ali, ora brincando com as bonecas, ora dando uma ajuda à mãe (nunca durante muito tempo), ou a bisbilhotar o resultado do trabalho dos pescadores, não descansando enquanto não soubesse o nome de todos os peixes apanhados.
Foi com tristeza que todos a viram partir, quando cresceu e quis ir estudar para longe. A miúda dizia que queria ir conhecer o que havia longe do cais, que a vida não podia ser só mar. A mãe deixou-a partir, certa de que ela iria descobrir que o seu lugar, era ali mesmo, na loja do cais.
Passaram vários anos, e a miúda apareceu poucas vezes, em curtas visitas, por vezes com amigos, por vezes sozinha, e depois voltava a partir. Estava a estudar literatura, com muito sucesso, dizia a mãe.
Numa dessas visitas, viram-na chegar ao cais, de caderno e caneta na mão, e por ali ficou a escrever horas a fio. Sem grandes conversas, foi ficando dia após dia e isso parecia ser um bom sinal. Escreveu durante vários dias e quando por fim o pescador Pedro lhe foi oferecer o colete amarelo para ela se agasalhar, ela fechou o caderno, agradeceu, levantou-se e partiu, sem vestir o colete.
Não voltaram a saber dela durante meses, até que certo dia a viram chegar ao cais e distribuir um livro a cada um. Era o livro que ela estivera a escrever. O livro que a ajudara a descobrir que o lugar dela era ali, na loja do cais. Não mais iria partir. A mãe sorria radiante e o pescador Pedro foi buscar o colete amarelo que ela vestiu orgulhosa e feliz.
Joana grew up here, among boxes of fish, bait wrapped in newspaper, fishing rods, reels and nets. Whenever she was in the pier store, she wore a yellow vest, so that her mother could see her from afar, while she served customers, received orders and tidied up and organized the store. She was studying literature, very successfully, said her mother.
In one of these visits, they saw her arrive at the pier, notebook and pen in hand, and she sat there writing for hours on end. No big conversations, she stayed day after day and that seemed to be a good sign. She wrote for several days and when finally the fisherman Pedro offered her the yellow vest so she could warm up, she closed the notebook, thanked him, got up and left, without putting on the vest.
They didn't hear from her again for months, until one day they saw her arrive at the pier and hand out a book to each of them. It was the book she had been writing. The book that had helped her discover that she belonged here, in the pier shop. She wouldn't leave again. Her mother smiled radiantly and the fisherman Pedro went to get the yellow vest that she wore proudly and happily.
Havia inúmeros indícios que apontavam para o naufrágio de um dos navios ao serviço do faraó na baía. Evidências claras eram poucas, e pistas óbvias ainda menos, pelo que o navio do faraó permaneceu intocável no fundo da baía durante muito tempo.
Felizmente, e numa parceira inédita nestas coisas da arqueologia, os dois egiptólogos mais famosos do mundo, uniram esforços e juntaram as suas equipas, que trabalharam incessantemente nos indícios existentes. Reviram a bibliografia, passaram a pente fino cada alfarrabista e coleccionador especializado no egipto por todo o mundo, descobrindo mais pistas que consolidaram a hipótese do naufrágio e que justificou o investimento na realização de mergulhos de prospecção.
E após vários dias de fracassos, surge o sucesso! O navio do faraó foi encontrado! O primeiro mergulho trouxe à superfície dezenas de artefactos da época e os mergulhadores dizem haver bem mais.
Neste momento, todos os elementos das equipas que se encontram espalhados pelo mundo, estão a fazer as malas e a embalar o material necessário para analisar o que está a ser encontrado, e a convergir para o local da descoberta.
