A visita da Senhora | The Lady's visit
A Senhora está de visita à quinta e as meninas colocaram toucas lavadas e coradas na ribeira que passa ali perto, para a receber. A Senhora não é uma pessoa simpática, mas não deixa de fazer as suas visitas regulares, questionando cada actividade realizada na quinta. Apesar da sua atitude distante e por detrás de uma aparente indiferença, regista mentalmente as necessidades que são apontadas que, se assim o entender acaba por resolver a breve trecho.
Ela conhece os nomes dos trabalhadores, e faz questão de dirigir a todos uma palavra, nem que seja para dizer para endireitarem o chapéu, ou lavarem a roupa com mais frequência. É exigente com eles no desempenho do seu trabalho, e não suporta que se descuidem com a sua aparência. Detesta gente maltrapilha!
O dia da visita da Senhora não é um dia fácil, pois ninguém sabe o que esperar. Mas por hoje, já passou!
The Lady is visiting the farm and the girls putted their newly cleaned and whashed cuffs, ready to receive her. The Lady is not a nice person, but she always does the regular visits, questioning every activity performed at the farm. Despite her distante attitude and behing an apparent indifference, she takes notes mentally about the needs and difficulties, and ends up taking care of it in a shot term.
She knows the worker's names and takes a work with every one of them, even if it is to just say to straigntened their hats or clean up their clothes more often. She can be rutless, cause she hates sloppy people.
The Lady's visit day is not an easy day. It either can go well and fluid, or be a hell. Nobody knows what to expect ever. For today, it's done, and it went well!
